Are you shocked I brought this topic up? I hope so because failures do not define your future. Failures are stepping stones to learning lessons. I have had so many so called “failures” To many that I can’t count anymore. Each and every one of these failures were definitive. An example that I’d like to share that I’m not particular proud of happened when my staff left the salon and took clients that I worked hard to attract to help each of them in their career. That was heart wretching to me because I cared for each one of them as an individual. I had to learn to understand that people quit the leader/manager not their friends at work. Not only did this affect them but this affected me in my business, the relationships in business. It was a triple loss for me.
Being an owner as you, living the dream is about opening a business, growing the business, hiring employees that want to be on the team and then working on the business instead of in the business. This makes certain sense. When things don’t seem to be seamless such as employee relationships, business cash flow, clients flow, etc the whole panoramic view takes on a new perspective that doesn’t quite fit right anymore. You start to make changes but maybe they weren’t well thought out. Maybe you just jumped into hiring that one person that you were glad they left the time before but thought well, I don’t have to train them but frankly they may have not been a good producer in sales but a good producer in drama. You know what I’m talking about. Why do the lessons continue? Because we haven’t paid attention to what happened the first time or we are just too busy to manage what we have or any number of situations affecting our decisions.
If you aren’t where you want to be then think on what your dream was from the beginning. Time for a course correction is always on the horizon to make your dream a reality. Continue striving towards what you want ourof your life instead of what you don’t have.
